After this talks, US President Donald Trump made an important statement about the Gaza peace plan.

Speaking to CNN, President Trump said, "I believe Hamas has agreed on some very important points." When asked if the US insisted on any conditions, such as Hamas having to surrender its weapons, Trump replied, "If certain things aren't met, we won't move forward, but I believe we're doing very well."

Talks in Egypt

The talks between Israel and Hamas took place in the Red Sea Coastal city of Egypt, L-F-Sheikh, which included representatives of Israel, Hamas, Egypt, Qatar and America as an intermediary. The two sides accepted some proposals of Trump's Gaza Peace Plan, including the release of the hostages and humanitarian aid for Palestinians, to eliminate the two years of struggle.

Netanyahu's stand

Some reports claimed that Trump explained to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to be negative about the agreement. Trump dismissed it, saying, "No, this is not true. They have been very positive about this agreement."

A US official previously reported that during a phone call on October 3, Netanyahu had described Hamas's partial response as unsatisfactory. Trump responded, "I don't understand why you're always so negative. This is a victory, accept it." Trump denied these reports.

Delegations Participating in the Talks

The Israeli delegation included Mossad and Shin Bet's intelligence officer, Prime Minister's Foreign Policy Advisor Ofir Falk, and Horticulture Coordinator Gaal Hirsh. On behalf of Hamas, senior officer Khalil al-Hayya attended, who came from Doha. A few weeks ago he survived an Israeli attack, in which his son died.

Trump's 20-Point Gaza Peace Plan
